The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that allows AI apps like ChatGPT, Claude, Replit AI, OpenClaw, and other MCP-compatible tools to securely connect to your Spiffy account. Once connected, your AI can access your Spiffy data and perform actions based on the permissions you grant, turning it into an intelligent business assistant. ## Why connect AI to Spiffy? Connecting an AI app to Spiffy gives you a faster, more natural way to understand your business and automate routine work. Instead of searching through reports or manually updating records, you can simply ask questions like: - “How much revenue did we generate this month?” - “What are my best-selling products?” - “Which customers have overdue payment plans?” - “Show me affiliates with the highest lifetime value.” Your AI can analyze data across your account in seconds, summarize trends, identify opportunities, and even take action on your behalf when appropriate. ## What can AI do with my Spiffy account? Depending on your permissions and the AI app you’re using, you can: - Analyze customers, orders, payments, subscriptions, affiliates, products, and more - Generate business insights and executive summaries - Find trends, anomalies, and revenue opportunities - Search for customers and order history using natural language - Perform bulk actions, such as updating records or managing customers - Connect Spiffy with other tools to create cross-platform workflows and automations As new MCP tools become available, these capabilities will continue to expand. ## Supported AI Apps Spiffy works with any AI app that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), including: - ChatGPT - Claude - OpenClaw - Replit AI - Other MCP-compatible AI apps ## Security & Permissions Your AI app only has access to the Spiffy accounts and data you authorize. All AI actions follow your existing Spiffy user role and permissions, so an AI cannot perform actions you aren’t already allowed to perform yourself. Some AI apps can also make changes to your account, such as updating customer information or processing actions. Always review requests before approving them, especially when they affect customers, payments, or other important business data.
