# How to connect Google Analytics 4

If you are using Google Analytics 4, you have the option to connect to the Measurement Protocol API. This will enable server-side tracking, resulting in more reliable tracking when customers visit your checkout page.

When you input a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID into Spiffy’s Google Analytics integration, you will notice an option to enable server-side tracking.

From your Google Analytics 4 Account dashboard, click on the **Settings/Admin icon**, and select **Data Streams** from the list of options.

Once you have created a data stream, click on it to view its options, and select **Measurement API Secrets**.

When _Enhanced Conversions_ is enabled for Google Analytics, you can send customer details like their email, name, address or phone number as present on your checkout, when a purchase is completed. This data is securely hashed before being sent and helps improve the accuracy of your conversion tracking.

Make sure to configure _Enhanced Conversions_ in [Google Analytics](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/14252663?hl=en).

To enable this feature in Spiffy, go to your [Integration Settings](https://app.spiffy.co/settings/integrations) for Google Analytics and turn on the toggle for **Enhanced Conversions**.
