# Connecting Stripe Error &#8211; &#8220;Email address must match current user&#8221;

If you are having trouble connecting your Stripe account, and you get the error message “Email address must match current user” – like the screenshot below – the fix is very simple.

This error is usually experienced by agencies and freelancers – anyone that frequently logs in and out of multiple Stripe accounts.

**The fix is simple:**

- Go to your Stripe dashboard, you should already be logged in. [https://dashboard.stripe.com/](https://dashboard.stripe.com/)
- Logout of your Stripe account
- Now you should be able to connect your Stripe account in Spiffy
