FAQ

Upcoming Subscription Payment

The Upcoming Subscription Payment event triggers actions 7 days prior to your customer billing on an active ‘Subscription’

This is most commonly used for internal processes, or to potentially trigger an email to send out from your CRM to let your customer know that they will be billed in the next 7 days.

Want to remind customers 3-4 days in advance of their payment date?
You’ll need to delay your followup in your CRM/Marketing Automation integration.

Spiffy will trigger an automation/workflow in your CRM 7-days before the next payment. You would start that automation/workflow with a 3-4 day delay timer, to shorten the reminder time. We recommend sending a reminder 7 days before the payment to minimize refunds.

Not everyone will have a need for this specific automation, but we provide it as a convenience option, as some of our users have shown interest in being able to run automation prior to a customer being billed for an active ‘Subscription’ payment.

Pro Tip:
Want to setup reminders for annual subscriptions, but not monthly subscriptions?

You will need to:

  1. create separate subscription groups
  2. add each subscription plan to their own group
  3. use our Subscription Automation to run specific billing follow up on specific plans in each group
