Need to setup a way for customers to name their price, or input a unique amount to pay at checkout, we’ve got you covered with our Price Input functionality.
Our Price Input covers several use-cases:
- Donation Amounts – Let donors input any amount they wish to donate
- Pay an Invoice – Let customers input the amount due from an invoice sent from another system
- Name your price – Let customers input what they want to pay for an offer or promotions
How to add a Price Input to your Checkout
To add a Price Input to your checkout, hover below the last field in any section and click on Add Block.
After you click Add Block, a menu of block options will appear.
Select Inputs.
And select Price Input.
This will add the custom Price Input field to your Checkout, and automatically open the Price Input settings.
The Price Input element has a few settings.
You can map the field to any custom field in Spiffy, or any available integration fields. This will store the value the customer inputs into a field, in addition to the order record.
You can set the default amount that loads in the field when a customer visits the checkout, and you can set the minimum and maximum amounts allowed to be entered.
You can also adjust the label of the input field to change what customers see as the prompt for the field, and you can adjust the text for how you want this custom price line item to display in the order summary and on receipts.
By default, the line item will show as “Custom Pricing Product” in the order summary and on receipts unless you change it in the settings.
