Connect an AI App to Spiffy

Connecting an AI app to Spiffy takes just a few minutes. Once connected, you can ask questions about your business, analyze your data, automate tasks, and perform actions using natural language.

Before You Begin

Before connecting an AI app, make sure:

  • You have access to the Spiffy account you want to connect
  • Your AI app supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • You’re signed in to both Spiffy and your AI app

Connect Your AI App

  1. In Spiffy, click on AI / MCP in the left navigation menu
  2. Select the AI app you want to connect
  3. Follow the connection instructions displayed in Spiffy
  4. Complete the authorization process in your AI app
  5. Once connected, ask your AI a simple question to verify everything is working

Your AI can now securely access your Spiffy account based on your user permissions.

Managing Connections

You can return to your MCP Settings at any time to:

  • View connected AI apps
  • Disconnect an app
  • Reconnect an app if needed
  • Connect additional AI apps

You can connect multiple AI apps to the same Spiffy account if you’d like to use different tools for different workflows.

Troubleshooting

My AI can’t connect

Verify that your AI application supports MCP and that you’ve completed the authorization steps shown in Spiffy.

My AI can’t access my data

AI apps only have access to the Spiffy accounts and data your user role allows. If you’re missing data or unable to perform certain actions, check your account permissions.

My connection stopped working

Reconnect the AI app from your MCP Settings. If the issue continues, disconnect the app and complete the connection process again.
