Spiffy comes equipped with the ability to send receipts to your customers. Spiffy’s receipts are delivered as a nice, simple transactional email with a secure link for your customer to view & save their receipts. You can also view and download a customer’s receipt, and manually send it to them as a PDF attachment.
Receipts delivered by Spiffy use company information and logos you’ve saved in your Company Details. In the bottom left navigation, click on Settings > Company to update your company info before enabling receipt emails. This is also where you can add custom text for the Header and Footer sections.
Quick access to your Company Settings.
IMPORTANT:
Adjust your Stripe account settings to turn receipts OFF in Stripe, so you don’t send your customers multiple receipts for every payment. Make sure to have either Spiffy or Stripe receipts active, not both.
Learn How to Adjust Stripe Account Settings.
You can enable automatic receipt delivery, as well as manually send a receipt from any Order / Subscription / Payment Plan record.
Automatically Send Receipts
You can enable receipts to automatically be sent after successful payments for the following:
- Order Confirmation Email – We’ll send your customer an email with a link to view their order/payment details after they place an order on your checkout.
- Payment Plan Receipt Email – We’ll send your customer an email with a link to their payment details when a recurring Payment Plan payment is made.
- Subscription Receipt Email – We’ll send your customer an email with a link to their payment details when a recurring Subscription payment is made.
To enable automatic receipt delivery to your customers, click on Settings > Customer Notifications in the bottom left navigation. Then, enable any of the Receipt Email options, and click Save.
View these receipt settings in your Spiffy app.

You can view a receipt for an order or individual payment. This option provides another way to manually send a receipt if you’re not sure your customer received it when using the above methods.
Viewing the receipt gives you a direct link to the receipt that you can send to your customer, or you can print the receipt / download a PDF to email to your customer.
Follow these steps to view an Order Receipt:
- Navigate to the Order record and click View Order Confirmation in the top right
- In the popup window, you can view the Order Receipt, get a direct link for the receipt, and print/save a PDF file

The below video demonstrates both of these options:
Customer’s Company Name & Tax ID on Receipt
If you are collecting your customer’s Company Name and Tax ID on Checkouts, that information will be saved on their Customer Record, and displayed on receipts. Company Name and Tax ID will automatically appear on their receipts in the header. If tax is being calculated and charged with the purchase, the label for the tax line item on the receipt is dynamic and will display as VAT, GST, etc; the default label is “Tax”.
Self-Serve Access Receipts in Customer Portal
Your customers have the ability to view and download their receipts anytime by logging into their customer portal.
